Dump hinges are fine due to the fact they aren't loading the center of the frame rail, as a matter of fact a bit of annealing at the hinge weld zone is a good thing to prevent cracking.

The tanks are usually to thin for stick. Most of the time leaks are from rust behind the straps. I don't try to seal original leak and just weld patch over top.

Leave the bottle on the ground with a hose to the MM252 to make it a little easier to move around and either hang the welder or set it in the body and move as needed. That machine will run fine with .045 inner or dual shield.
