WebJun 28, 2014 · The old 7.3 is all done. Fired it up and heard a loud knock so I shut it off Quick. Tried turning It over by hand and nothing. So out came the engine. Dropped the oil pan and found a big mess of piston. Popped the heads and yanked the pack out. Rod bent, piston destroyed. Inspected the cylinder and found block and head was ok.

WebNov 20, 2010 · On the other hand i will check the CCV and see if it might be comming from there. Thanks :icon_wink: No need to check the CCV, it is for sure dumping some oil up into the turbo. I would start by doing the CCV mod. Can't hurt and "if" you rebuild the turbo and clean out the intercooler lines later at least the CCV wont be dumping in any more oil.
