High Trucks – Work best with larger wheels (56mm and up) by offering a little more clearance in between your trucks and the skate deck, with hopes of avoiding the dreaded curse of wheelbite.

Venture, Royal, Krux, Venom among others use the inch scale, going from 5.0" to 5.25", 5.5" or more. But watch out, Royal makes a truck marked 5.5" but the actual size of the truck hanger is closer to 5.8" with an 8.75" axle.

WebJun 23, 2020 · I think that 8.5" trucks on a 8.38" deck are nice. From center of board a 8.38" is only .065" bigger on each side than a 8.25" so it's probably not that big of a deal 148 range is 8.12"-8.38" 149 range is 8.38"-8.62 I use a quarter inch (.25")rule you can overhang or underhand by a quarter inch and you are all good. Wheels can also influence this.

WebGet 8 inch trucks unless you want trucks sticking out. Wheel size depends on what you are going to do and what wheel you are getting. For street wheels, 52-56 is ideal in my opinion. The wheels are going to get smaller anyways so might as well get something pretty decently sized around 54. For cruising wheels, 56+ is good.

Hell, you'll be fine with 8.0 trucks and a 8.5 deck. People make a fuss over truck sizes, but it's not a big deal, just don't worry about it. I feel the same way about deck sizes.
