Never had much problem with it BUT the '96 K2500 is equipped with 2 1100 CCA batteries because it is a diesel. It is a pressure switched pump so it will stop when pressure builds up in the line and start when it drops again.

WebOct 1, 2012 · I used a piece of 1-foot, ¾ inch tube to go through the framerails and then cut a piece of solid barstock to fit inside that. I also put grease fittings in the tube to keep everything moving well.

WebSep 11, 2017 · Diesel is a solvent for the asphalt cement. Some of the dissolved asphalt will redeposit on the grindings. The asphalt will be weaker than original. Be careful of heavy solvent application, as you can strip all the asphalt cement . I would not expect the hard surface to last on the grindings. Please update your findings

WebJan 21, 2015 · I was kind of ruling out diesel i was leaning more toawrds oil or antifreeze or maybe calcium chloride. I mean b scrap wont matter if you use oil or antifreese. Boss is one who said antifreeze would work but id imagine itd freeze depending how much moisture/ water is in it. Hes switching. All his trucks to red so we have alot of green.

You can install a pressure gauge and a bypass (just a ball or needle valve) valve at the pump outlet. Run the hose from the bypass valve back into the tank.
