Then loosen the rear brake wires and rear end drive line to. loosen the aluminum collar and U joint. Move the whole lot backwords.

The Hurst shifter supplied by Patrick's is perfect height and the same as the original 4 speed. WebJan 4, 2010 · Hi all, In my circle track street stock, I use a 3 speed Saginaw transmission. I ran 80w-90 Sta-Lube in it last season, but I'm not sure that's right. It doesn't have to shift fast or easily (it's in 2nd gear 98% of the time), but has to withstand lap after lap of accelerating hard then pitching sideways and slowing for the turn.

This helps tp prevent clutch chatter and gear rattle when backing up and oil is hot. There is no reason it can not be used in the differential also.

WebOct 22, 2018 · S. sstock. 'Bolter. In 1953, the three speed received an upgraded clutch gear with 2 sets of needle bearings in the clutch gear. This was to cure popping out of third like earlier transmissions had, so it is a good transmission for a rebuild. I have personally rebuild 2 of these and it was pretty straight forward.
